Watseka Flood

My posting absence this month is due, for the most part, to the evacuation of our home on Jan 9 during the worst flood that Watseka, Il has experienced in fifty years. Some families in this community have lost everything, some barely escaped with their life; many lost belongings as the waters filled basements and houses. Some are still waiting to return home while repairs are being made.

The most wonderful friends put us up from Jan 9 to 26, while we waited for the waters to recede, the furnace to be fixed, and a water heater to be installed. We're so grateful to be home again!
